I agree with this post, but the paedophile analogy isn't quite right as the leak was from within the BNP rather than any external agency (e.g News of the World).

So a closer analogy would be a paedophile ring who incompetently leaked their own personal details onto the internet. It'd definitely put them in danger, and on balance be a bad thing. But at the same time you'd have to have a heart of stone not to chuckle.

My initial thoughts on the whole thing had been that it had the potential to cause a wave of sympathy for the BNP. I saw, in my head, a wave of sackings or attacks leading to quite a bit of pity.

Then I saw Nick Griffin on Channel 4 news last night and what a shocking performance it was. I was reminded what a total arse he really is. He rambled on like some kind of persecuted animal and simply failed to take any kind of advantage of the situation. I actually hope that this gets the BNP more publicity because another performance like that from its leadership and they can only heamorage support.
