Trust the Sun to get right to the heart of the issue. It's not about whether the war in Afghanistan is right or wrong or winnable or not. It's not what the motives behind it are, or whether the justifications make sense, or even whether our troops are properly equipped or not.
No - the real issue is whether the Prime Minister once accidentally mis-spelled the name of a soldier killed there in a letter of condolence.

I'm not a fan of Brown and won't vote New Labour (or Conservative or Lib Dem) - and i think he deserves to lose the next election (though Cameron definitely doesnt deserve to win it) but the amount of media coverage of this trivia is just pathetic. I expect it from a (toilet) paper like 'The Sun' but every TV news channel has covered it heavily too.

Pity time couldn't be found for a simple piece of legislation banning cross media ownership by foreigners, particularly those who have changed their nationality for gain. It would smoke out just what the Tories have promised to him when selling their soul out too.
